Sign-Up Info: Applications are posted online in mid-August and deadline for applying is the first week in September. Mandatory 3 hour Teacher Workshop in late September is required to receive field trip.

Brief Description:

This program offers a range of field trips to local sites like the Transfer Station and Pier 96 Recycling Center; Garden for the Environment; Scroungers Center for Reusable Art Parts (SCRAP); Alemany Farm, Heron’s Head Park. Free buses are provided and field trips are 4 hours long, usually from 9:30-1:30 including transportation time and lunch time. Most trips include an in-class presentation a few days before the field trip.
