Brief Description:

Experiential learning programs that illuminate scientific and ecological concepts that empower students to become environmental and community stewards throughout their lives!

Bring your students to our residential site or let our naturalists come to your school - either way, we'll take your students outside of the classroom for hands-on learning in nature's laboratory. Whether visiting tide pools, studying insects at the pond, playing eco-games or cleaning up the neighborhood park, students learn about and experience their connections to the natural world. By weaving a thread of choice and impact throughout our programs, we empower students to become active stewards of the environment within their own communities. All of our programs are based on California State Science Standards and tailored to meet the individual needs of participating teachers and students.

Programs at Your School Site

Urban School
Let our naturalists take your students through an ecological journey on their schools grounds! Then, we'll take them one step further into nature during a day-long field trip to the Marin Headlands or a nearby natural area! Students learn about watersheds, ecology, and habitats through engaging activities interspersed with team-building challenges.

My Home, My Community, My World
Help your students discover the world outside of their classroom doors! During regular visits throughout the school year, our naturalists guide teachers and students in the exploration of their schoolyard, neighborhood, and local open spaces. Individual half-day and full-day lessons are also available at your school site!
