Brief Description:

Our Water teaches students about San Francisco's water resources. Students learn about water during the Gold Rush era, and the history of our Hetch Hetchy system. They also learn what a "water footprint" is, and are shown the many uses of water. Additional topics include: water cycle review, groundwater, recycled water, desalination, and threats to our water supply. Students are then taught ways to protect our water through water conservation and water pollution prevention. This 50-minutes interactive presentation uses pictures to help tell the story of our water!
