High School Credit Internships
- CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES: CAREERS IN SCIENCE Internships at the Academy allow high school students to gain hands-on experience on the public floor, in the labs and collections archive, and out in the community. These programs are valuable stepping stones toward careers in the natural sciences.
- CRISSY FIELD CENTER I-YEL: I -YEL Interns make a minimum commitment of one year (October to August) and meet every Wednesday after school and three full Saturdays per month. Youth have the opportunity to teach youth programs at the Center, outreach in communities, attend conferences, and create their own community service projects.
- CRISSY FIELD CENTER:PROJECT W.I.S.E. The mission of Project WISE is to enable youth to discover their roles within and impact on the natural world and to realize their own potential to become socially and scientifically conscious members of their local and global communities.
- THE MARINE MAMMAL CENTER: YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAM 14-17 Year olds involved in this experience allows the students to work alongside adults, develop interpersonal skills, observe a variety of marine science related careers and gives them the opportunity to be involved in marine mammal conservation.
