Brief Description:

Presidio Park Stewards care for a wide variety of habitats and other landscapes in this prominent national park site in San Francisco. Service-based programs invite students to examine the relationship between the natural and urban worlds and contribute to San Francisco’s living natural history through habitat restoration, nursery work and other hands-on open space projects such as forestry and trails. Through participation in authentic service learning projects in a local national park, students and emerge with a deeper sense of place and the power to shape their park’s future in positive ways.
