Brief Description:

The Certificate Program provides a course of study that gives students the tools to understand the implications of climate change and the skills to help solve the problems presented by greenhouse gases. The program introduces students to the scope of measures they can take to improve energy efficiency in homes and schools, as well as the factors and components involved in designing solar systems. Students who participate in the entire program, including in-class work and significant fieldwork requirements are eligible to receive their certificate and college credit. Through the Certificate Program, students will obtain auditing skills to assess energy consumption in buildings and residences, high school or college credit and have opportunities for internships or more advanced training at College of Marin or Dominican U. in solar installation, clean energy applications, electrical apprenticeships and related green workforce careers.
