BAAQMD Clean Air Challenge (Middle and High School)

The curriculum integrates current environmental information related to air quality and health issues with alternative energy solutions.

BAAQMD: Protect Your Climate (4th – 5th Grades)

This interdisciplinary curriculum uses hands-on demonstrations, interactive activities, discussions, experiments and home assignments to engage students in understanding and applying important environmental science concepts related to climate change.

Classroom Aquarium Education Program (Trout in the Classroom) (k-8 Grades)

Classrooms are provided with aquarium, fish eggs, and support to raise fish eggs to the adult stage.  Children can accompany fish in their 'release' back into the streams which they are found- Lake Merced is the main location for San Francisco.

High School Certificate Program in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (11th)

The Certificate Program provides a course of study that gives students the tools to understand the implications of climate change and the skills to help solve the problems presented by greenhouse gases.

PG&E Energenius Program (K-8th)

The Energenius Educational Program provides materials for teaching about energy, energy efficiency, and the environment for Kindergarten through grade 8 students.

Planet Energy After School Program (1st-6th)

SEI’s staff works with K-6 children in an after-school or summer camp setting to teach kids about the environment.

Presidio Community YMCA Bicycle PE (4th-12th)

The Presidio Community YMCA Bicycle Program’s Physical Education (PE) programs integrate bicycle safety education into the regular school day by bringing it directly to PE classes.

Presidio Community YMCA YBike Afterschool (6th-8th)

Bike Clubs consist of sixteen bi-weekly sessions teaching youth bicycle and street safety, bike handling skills, and bike maintenance while developing their confidence, leadership skills, and promoting a healthy lifestyle and environmental consciousness.

SFPUC: "Our Water" (4th – 5th Grades)

Our Water is a new educational unit designed to teach 4th–5th grade students about San Francisco’s water resources and the importance of conservation.

SF Environment (K-12th)
