Brief Description:

In partnership with the National Park Service, the PUC, and the Department of the Environment, the SFUSD Environmental Science Center runs Conservation Connection, an experiential environmental education program for San Francisco third through fifth graders.  The goal is to support teachers, students, and parents from inner city schools in becoming responsible stewards of their local watersheds and to understand more fully the human impact on ecosystems while making connections between inland watersheds, local communities, and our coastal environment.  Students from the southeastern neighborhoods of San Francisco engage in hands-on activities that include water quality monitoring, restoration projects, and field studies at local parks.
